Viña del Mar e´ la localita´di mare dei Santiagueri (abitanti di Santiago). E´un grande centro con una spiaggia lunga che arriva fino a Concon tra rocce e sabbia.
Noi siamo andati ostipi per ben due volte dalla mamma e papa´di Clau, Aurora e Claudio. Un servizio a cinque stelle 🙂
La prima volta abbiamo avuto il piacere di avere le ragazze come guide speciali su e giu per Valpo e Viña, e ovviamente é tutta un´altra cosa quando si va con le persone del posto. Poi abbiamo conosciuto tutta la famiglia di Clau, sorella e nipote compresi, e abbiamo imparato a fare le famose empanadas de pino di Aurora. Il pino e´ il condimento che va dentro fatto di carne, cipolla, uvetta, uovo sodo, oliva e non mi ricordo che altro. Buonissime!
La seconda volta siamo andati durante la settimana e abbiamo potuto vivere e godere per alcuni giorni di Valparaiso e Viña del Mar con uno sguardo intermedio tra ´il turista e il locale´. Abbiamo trovato un tempo un po' freschetto per i nostri gusti da ´friolentos´ (freddolosi), ma siamo riusciti ugualmente ad andare al mare e godere del sole fino a tardi in spiaggia.
Una giornata siamo andati alla Parcela, che e´un appezzamento di terra di proprieta´dei Pizzaro (hehe) pronto per essere un futuro camping. Il terreno dista da Viña circa 50 km de é situato a valle tra le montagne della pre-cordigliera. Noi siamo andati con Claudio, Aurora e Nicolas e abbiamo passato una bella giornata di relax tra grigliata, pansitos (panino con salsiccia e insalata), e mini trekking per vedere delle piscine naturali sulla montagna, nella quali solo Nico ha avuto il coraggio di tuffarsi. Viña del Mar is the beach town for the Santiagueri (inhabitants of Santiago). It is a big town with a long beach that reaches Concon between rocks and sand.
We went twice at Clau´s place, as guests of Aurora and Claudio (mum and dad of Clau). Pretty much a five-stars accommodation 🙂
The first time we went, we had the pleasure of having the girls as special tour guides taking us up and down in Valpo and Viña; of course it is a whole other experience when you go with the locals visiting a new place. Then we met the family of Clau, sister and nephew included, and we learned how to make the famous empanadas de pino of Aurora. The pino is the filling that goes inside made of meat, onion, raisins, hard boiled egg, olive and something else I don´t remember. Simply delicious!
The second time, we went during the week and we were able to live and enjoy a few days in Valparaiso and Viña del Mar with a look somewhere between 'a tourist and a local'. We found the weather a little cool for our taste as 'friolentos' (person that feels cold all the time), but we managed to go to the beach and enjoy the sun until late.
One day we went to the Parcela that is a piece of land owned by the Pizzaros' (hehe) which will be a future camping. The land is about 50 km from Viña and it is located in the valley between the mountains of the pre-cordillera. We went with Claudio, Aurora and Nicolas, and we had a nice relaxing day between a bbq, pansitos (sandwich with sausage and salad), and mini-trekking to see the natural pools on the mountain, in which only Nico had the courage to dive. A bit too chilly for us!
