New York e' sulla mia lista da tempo. L'idea era un viaggetto con le amiche alla sex and the city all'insegna dello shopping, visite a I musei ed angoli della città', cocktails e ciarlate varie. Mai lamentarsi, ma... Vado con Pman che c'è' già' stato, non ha tantissima voglia di visitare, camminare non e' un verbo conosciuto e lo shopping (ahahhaha) non e' pervenuto......vedremo come andrà' a finire. Intanto abbiamo riunito in un'unica guida tutte le informazioni, formali ed informali arrivate dagli amici (grazie per tutti i suggerimenti, indirizzi e contatti). Ne sappiamo cosi tanto che e' già' diventato un luogo familiare, come andare da Nerola a Passo Corese!!
Il volo: Pieno di americani sorridenti, socievoli e caciaroni. Grazie al “sindaco” non-ufficiale dell'aeroporto di Fiumicino, in neanche due ore abbiamo:
1 Conosciuto lo staff di terra della Delta,
2 conosciuto quello di aria (Blondie conosciuta come Jennifer e' la piu' simpatica responsabile di cabina conosciuta finora),
3 conosciuto alcuni passeggeri che fanno su e giu tra Roma e NY - o destra e sinistra (fate voi!)
4 ricevuto un pasto speciale (e' proprio vero che quando si conosce lo chef (nel nostro caso il “sindaco non ufficiale” si mangia bene ovunque, anche in volo).
Una chicca, il video della sicurezza a bordo di Delta Airines e' veramente carino. Buona visione:

New York has been on my bucket list for really looong time. The idea I had in mind for the trip was a visit with a bunch of girlfriends, 'sex and the city' style, getting lost between shopping and museums, visiting good bits of the city, drinking cocktails and tattling – a lot! Never complain, BUT (!)...
I am going with Pman, who has been there already and doesn't really want to visit the city; walking is not a known verb (yet) and about shopping (hahaha) not even considered... we'll see how it ends! In the mean time we have collected in one only guide book all formal and informal information received from friends (thanks to all for the suggestions, addresses and contacts). We now know so much that going to NY is already familiar; it feels like going from Sydney to Wollongong!!!
The flight: full of smiling, friendly and “loud” Americans. Thank to the 'un-official mayor' of the Fiumicino airport, in less that two hours we have:
1met the airport staff of Delta
2 met the fight crew (Blondie aka Jennifer is the most simpatica cabin manager we have ever met until now!)
3 been introduced to some passengers that go up and down between NY and Rome - or left and right (up to you, whatever you prefer!)
4 received a special meal (it is so true that if you have the right connections you can eat well even up in the air).
