Iquique
Da Putre torniamo ad Arica dove dormiamo all'ostello Arica Unite, uno tra gli ostelli piu puliti che abbiamo mai incontrato. Qui ci siamo docciati (yeah!), preparati una cena abbondante e sanissima e salutato Kerrin, che ci ha lasciati per andare in Peru'.
Anche noi ripartiamo: destinazione Iquique, scendendo verso il sud del nord 🙂
Iquique e' un'altra citta' di mare, ma per quello che abbiamo potuto vedere e' molto ma molto piu' vitale di Arica (anche senza carnevale). C'e' un lunghissimo lungo mare che costeggia le spiagge iquiquegne lunghe chilometri. Una di queste si chiama Cavancha e noi dormiamo in un airbnb proprio davanti la spiaggia.
Iquique e' carina con una piazza centrale (Plaza Prat) dove ci sono teatro comunale, torre dell'orologio, casino spagnolo, e da dove parte una strada pedonale (Baquedano) piena di ristoranti e bar. Anche questa volta la nostra tappa di rito al mercato centrale per una mangiatina di pesce non e' mancata.
Iquique
From Putre we came back to Arica where we slept at Arica Unite hostel, one of the most clean hostel we have seen so far. Here we had a shower (yeah!), we made a big and healthy dinner and we said goodbye to Kerrin, who left us to go to Peru.
We left too: destination Iquique, further down to the South of the North 🙂
Iquique is another beach town, but for what we have seen it is much more dynamic of Arica (even without the carnevale). There is a long promenade that sails along the beaches, which are long kms. One of these beaches is called Cavacha and our accommodation was in front of it.
Iquique is cute with a central square (Plaza Prat), where there are the council theater, clock tower, and the Spanish casino'. From here it starts a pedestrian street (Baquedano) full of restaurants and bars. Even this time, we did the usual stop at the central market to eat fish. Great!
