Cuesta Blanca – escursione di 1 giorno
E' una zona che si trova a 50 km da Cordoba, utilizzata come spiaggia- luogo di vacanza di locali e turisti. Sulle rive del fiume San Antonio ci sono spiaggette naturali di sabbia bianca, che accoppiate all'acqua cristallina e molto fresca del fiume rendono quest'area un'attrazione turistica e luogo di vacanza per i Cordobesi. C'e' una spiaggia molto conosciuta che si chiama spiaggia degli hippie: questa si trova a 30 minuti di cammino dall'inizio di cuesta blanca, decisamente piu bellina dei primi appostamenti che si trovano sulla riva del fiume, e anche meno popolata – credo per via della passeggiata soto al sole, avviene una selezione naturale!
Il nome Costa Bianca ha una duplice origine (entrambe non confermate): il bianco immacolato del quarzo nella zona o per via di una erba bionda/bianca che ricopriva la zona, creando un manto bianco sulle collinette.
Siamo andati stupidamente una domenica d'estate, incontrando tutta cordoba e dintorni. Il ritorno in autobus e' stato di 4 ore nel traffico rispetto all'ora di andata. Un'esperienza!
Around Cordoba There are many small villages around Cordoba, populated by the Cordobese people, such as Cumbresita and Villa General Belgrano famous for their German style of houses and shops (including artisan beer), Villa Carlo Paz something between Brisbane & Las Vegas and Rimini (small chaotic summery city on the Adriatic coast), Capilla del Monte where UFO can be spotted – guaranteed! We decided for a more calm Jose' Maria and a full-lazy day by the river in Cuesta Blanca. Jesu Maria – 1/2 day excursion
This is a small and quiet village, where there is one of the biggest Jesuit estancias of the area. The Jesuits were big producer of wine at that time exporting even to Spain; now this lives as National Historic Monument, and it can be seen the church, the wine cellar, the old windmills and a paintings' collection of XVII and XVIII centuries. There is also a exhibit of contemporary art paintings, I would say dull and out-of-context! There are buses that link Cordoba to Jesus Maria every half hour for 25 pesos, taking 1 hour.
Cuesta Blanca – 1 day excursion
This is an area at 50 km from Cordoba, famous to be the beach and holiday destination for locals and tourists. 
On the bank of the river San Antonio, there are little natural beaches, which with the crystalline and cold water make this area a tourist attraction and holiday spot for the Cordobese people. There is a quite famous beach called 'hippie beach': this is at 30 mins walking from the beginning of Cuesta Blanca, definitely more attractive of the first spots on the river's shore, and also less populated – I believe many give up because of the walk under the sun, it happens a natural selection!
The name Costa Blanca has double origins (both not confirmed!): this is because of the immaculate white of the quartz in the area or because of the blonde/white grass that covered the surrounding hills, creating a while layer on them.
We went stupidly on a summer Sunday, finding all Cordoba and surroundings. The return in bus took us 4 hours in traffic, comparing to 1 hour of going. An experience!
